Mick Foley wrestled under three main aliases. The most famous of which is Cactus Jack, where he was hardcore, a mutilator who didn't care about losing an ear for a championship belt. A psychopath with a harsh, shouting voice. However, he had two other major personas. Dude Love and Mankind.
Mankind was more of a deranged maniac, known for squealing and screaming, and who had a pet rat. He would exist mostly in a boiler room until a match, and was known for shoving his hand in someone's mouth and giving them the mandible claw. He would take more risks than Cactus Jack, and focused more on his own pain that others. Meek in voice.
Dude Love was almost the antithesis of either of these, being non-hardcore. He wore tie-dye. The inspiration for him was flamboyance, not a madman or a psychopath. He would dance after a victory.
Split personalities are fairly common, especially when they're not scientific. I use that to mean bipolar disorders, which is in my family, and other personality disorders.
Another man with plenty of split personalities is Internet Sensation James Rolfe. He has several major personas, but the main three are AVGN, Bullshit Man, and Board James. Angry Video Game Nerd, or AVGN, was basically a nerdy character, who wears a white shirt and has pens in his pockets. He shouts at video games, drinks often, and has cartoony expressions. He was born from a hatred of bad video games. He's always cussing, swearing, but is ultimately a nerd who freaks out over video games.
Bullshit Man is very similar, talking about the smaller intricacies of life, such as loud start-up sounds or road traffic spikes. He has a face literally made from bullshit, and all he spews is bullshit at bullshit, like hotel rooms. While being another unhappy persona, the bullshit man is more in general. Arguably, he's more relatable.
Finally, however, is Board James, born from a love of board games. Instead of hatred or spite, he's generally a nice man... Who's secretly a murderous psychopath. And is prone towards bursts of anger.
I've always loved these types of multiple personas. The Triangle. I feel like a lot of time there's focus on normal person, and their dark forme. Yugioh literally does this three times. Raiden versus Jack the Ripper. There's nothing wrong with these two series, but I love the triangle for the complexity.
Another instance is a game known as Eversion, which I beat, where there's three endings. Two are very similar up until the end, however, my favorite might just be one that's completely off the charts.
The best thing about the triangle is the necessary third point. The alternate forme isn't just the opposite, but must be quirky in some way to two others.
Dude Love is out loud, but isn't a psychopath. Mankind and Jack are both hardcore, but Mankind is meek, Jack is sadistic and loud, yet not flamboyant.
Bullshit Man and AVGN are both loud, but about different topics and Bullshit Man doesn't drink, just like Board James. However, Bullshit Man is mostly sane compared with the other two. Board James is more subdued and even brooding when angry, while AVGN is always out loud with each emotion.
