Question About Diseases in Wysdom (From KIERAL!)

 "How much does anyone actually know about disease."

 Just like the Boh request, (tho was more an in-general species request, I just picked Bohs since I never talk about them), this is from KIERAL. Anyway, so diseases in Voto and Vytyl. 

Dires are immune to poisons and diseases for the most part. A lot of this is because of their blood which has highly regenerative properties. Most diseases they get are skin diseases, mostly parasites. However, they may harbinge a few bacterias or viruses that are not found elsewhere. 

For this reason, lots of dires still need to get vaccinated and are suspicious carriers. 

The "Races" of Wysdom do not fare as well. Bohs, logically, aren't getting that many diseases as they just roll around. However, Twayts, Crimsons, Violets, Prayers, and Oranges, all get plenty of illnesses. Normal healing spells usually just address actual damage such as tears, but diseases are really bacterias or viruses, so healing magic would just boost the disease, if also regenerating the lungs. 

They certainly don't have the same diseases as Aethermen, not just because of different planets, but also different planets have different structures. Even fruit and vegetables are mostly different and in fact, when Violets first appeared on the planet, they had to plant their own fruits and vegetables and slowly get accustomed to the foods of the planet. This is why there are apples on Voto and Vytyl, because of the Violets. And later the Violets would acclimate and be participants in eating Voto-born fruits. However, they also brought along their diseases, and these didn't affect other species, but would ultimately make them carriers. 

So Violets don't usually get the same diseases as the rest of Voto and Vytyl, but have their own. 

The main remedy for diseases are usually natural curatives or herbal cures. Afterwards, there are antibiotics, like penicillin. However, Occultists are the first true fathers of medicine, especially women. Their work with ritualistic types of magic got them exploring the magic within salt and vinegar, and from that, they got real medicine.
