While I've mentioned the RPG idea several times, I feel like I should start an official "Launch". Hats in the water, this RPG is getting created. I began testing on August 15th, so I'll say we're now in Pre-Alpha.
This is Bloom and River, Owlis Edition. I am working on the base game first, which explores the journey of trying to make a new society known as Utopia, up until the appearance of the dragon Despair.
So what needs work:
Firstly, Base Races. There are plans for several playable races. Those are: Dire Wolves, Dire Canines (Jackals and Coyotes), Dire Foxes, Fire Hyenas. Crimsons. Bohs. Violets. Twayts.
Base Classes: There are plans for ten base classes, with two Exclusive Classes, or special classes that must be obtained later. These classes are: Ritualist, Knight, Fighter, Hunter, Medium, Thief, Engineer, Bard, Ranger, and Coder.
Base Traits - traits are storytelling parts of a character. Traits evolve a character. There may be a flaw versus virtue system, or even an evolution of traits system.
Base Talents - Talents are skills that aren't necessarily from a class or race (but can be), and are skills anybody can train and learn. These function almost like an additional level system.
Bestiary - what kinds of enemies and monsters you'll find in Wysdom.
Bosses - Big beasts.
Lairs - Exploration through lairs and levels. Fight various creatures and obtain great treasures.
Raids - Events that aren't part of the base story but still support the base story.
Story - This is based on a story after all. There's currently a story in place for surviving in Wysdom, but an idea of a Wysdom Wilds exploration map.
So when do I expect to be capable of presenting a viable "product"? Oh at least six months. The battle mechanics have been figured out however.
